Connecting People with Jesus

mission

Mission

We are called to make a difference not just in Carroll, Iowa but throughout the world. We can’t do that on our own, so the Carroll Church of Christ partners with others organizations to further to our mission of connecting people with Jesus throughout the globe. Here are some of the organizations and people we partner with:

CIBC

CIBC

Central Iowa Bible Camp was founded in 1946 by the Churches of Christ/Christian Churches of central Iowa in 1946. In 1955 seven acres of land north of Earlham Iowa was donated and the camp came to it’s present location in 1956. Over the years the camp has purchased more land to get up to our current 24 acres. In 1999 CIBC hired the first full-time Director and began to expand beyond several weeks of camp in the summer only. Currently we offer 14 programs during the summer as well as several camp sponsored retreats in the fall. The facilities are available to outside groups to rent in the spring and fall. There are currently no winterized buildings available for use. In recent years CIBC has begun to modernize many of our facilities, installing windows, insulation, and new bathrooms in many of our buildings. One of our goals is to be able to provide a location for year round retreats in the future.
Our primary focus is and has always been to bring people closer to God.

Rapha House International

Rapha House International

In 2003, Rapha International began an aftercare program for children who had been rescued from slavery and sexual exploitation. After more than a decade of growth, Rapha International is now an international aftercare program which has won the favor of the governments in the countries in which it works. It is an organization which practices excellence in the standards of caring for children who have been rescued from these traumatic situations.

The Rapha International model is to find native people who are qualified and passionate about combating the issues of child slavery and sexual exploitation in their own countries, and equipping them to combat on behalf of these children.

Rapha is a Hebrew word which means “healing.” And healing is the heartbeat of Rapha International.

Taka Hara

Taka Hara

Taka (pictured on the far right) is a missionary in the city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He works with international college students to bring them into a life-saving relationship with Jesus. The way Taka does this is through Bible studies and one on one relationships with the students that allow him to speak truth into their lives in a season where many are searching for answers and open to new ideas. His work is allowing the gospel to change not only Amsterdam, but the world as these students move back home from their studies abroad carrying with them their new found hope in Jesus.
